The Camp BB Riback Board of Directors believes that no Jewish child should be denied the camp experience because the family cannot pay the full fees. Each year it makes funds available for scholarships to pay for some or all of the cost for families in that situation. On behalf of the Camp Board, Jewish Family Services confidentially assesses applicants and recommends to the Camp Board what the scholarship amount should be. If you feel you need assistance we encourage you to apply.
You may use a single application to apply for scholarships for all the children in your family who wish to attend camp.

Other important information
- Is it really confidential? Jewish Family Services is bound by a Code of Ethics to keep all personal information in confidence. We will tell the Camp Board only the amount we recommend for a scholarship, and will not provide any other personal information unless you have given us written permission to do so.
- Why do you ask for so much information? We aim to gain a complete and accurate picture of your household financial situation to determine how much of a scholarship to recommend, so we can be fair in allocating limited resources. Without such information our ability to make the most favourable recommendation for you may be limited.
- When should I apply? We will accept applications beginning January 15 each year. Scholarships are awarded in the order recommendations are received until all available funds are allocated.
- We received a scholarship last year and our situation hasn’t changed. Do we need to apply again? Yes, the Camp Board requires a new assessment and recommendation each year. The funds available for scholarships varies from year to year, and so may the Camp’s response to our recommendations.
- Do I need to pay anything back? Are there any strings attached? The Camp may ask you to consider a partial repayment in volunteer time. Also, we ask you to consider with generosity how you may contribute to the welfare of the community in the future, should your financial situation improve.
- We applied for a scholarship to attend Talmud Torah School for last school year. Can you use the same information for this application? Yes, but please ensure you give us any numbers and information that may have changed since then.
