Aging and Change: How to navigate Life transitions.

6-week online course

This 6-week course will focus on attitudes on aging and give tools and skills to maintain our health and wellbeing; mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. We will begin by discussing how aging has become a problem in our culture and society, and how we can change our attitudes to be more positive and purposeful. Aging is a natural and inevitable process and instead of seeing aging as something negative, we can acknowledge seniors’ wisdom and resilience gained from life experience. We will cover topics including: successfully navigating transitions and change, maintaining a healthy brain and body, changing sense of identity throughout the life stages, financial changes and transitions, relational changes, dealing with regrets, and finding peace with ourselves.

This course is facilitated by Anna Jongeleen, registered psychotherapist and facilitator at JFSE, and Shoshana Sass, intern at JFSE completing her Master’s in clinical mental health counselling. Linda Mak from Money Mentors will host a session on financial changes and transitions and speak about personal directive, will, fraud among other topics.
