“It’s taken some time up until now to finally have a better understanding of what triggers  some bad states of mind, by viewing situations as a whole. At first and for a little bit I felt very overwhelmed and hopeless because I wanted and expected change to happen and there was progress, but it came in small gradual steps. So far looking back overall, there has been a lot of progress and change. I have been learning strategies to deal with stressful situation by focusing on one thing at a time, controlling my breathing and realizing when I am over – focusing on a memory or thought pattern and trying to redirect and center myself. I feel my therapist has been a good fit, he’s been a good listener during the sessions and helped me to have a different perspective.”
