Home Support Services
Our Home Support Services provide housekeeping, personal care, transportation, and companionship. A professional team of caregivers offers these services to older adults of all backgrounds with dignity, accountability, and confidence. Our services are booked for a minimum of two hours. There is opportunity for subsidization through Seniors Benefits, Veterans Affairs, Alberta Health Services Invoicing program, and the Holocaust Survivors Support Programs for those who qualify.
Our team of caregivers is dedicated to the wellness of our clients and thanks to our innovative and supportive approach we are:
- Compassionate: we understand that aging and decreased mobility can lead to isolation and depression, and our caretakers have a holistic, warm approach.
- Thoroughly Trained: we ensure our team is educated with our standardized training courses that include First Aid to Contagious Disease Protocol, Trauma and Dementia Informed, and the latest developments and technology in-home care.
- Private and Confidential: we are mindful that privacy and discretion are integral to our service.
- Expert and Experienced: we work with families to ensure a good match whether the client is at risk for bedsores or boredom.
OUR HOME SUPPORT SERVICES INCLUDE:
Personal Care
- Wound care – Service provided by certified Health Care Aids
- Bathing – For a minimum of 2-hour shifts with certified Health Care Aid
- Dressing
- Medication reminder
Meal Preparation
- Client provide groceries
Grocery Shopping
- Clients pay for groceries beforehand, and travel time to and from the grocery store is charged
Cleaning
- The clients provide cleaning supplies (the list of recommend cleaning supplies)
Companionship
- Can involve engaging in activities and hobbies, social conversation, and/or walks
Transportation
- Transportation to medical or related appointment
- Accompaniment to medical or related appointment
Case management
- Help with navigating support systems and resources
OUR FEES:
- Our services are $35.00 an hour per worker.
- A Home Support worker booking is minimum of two hours as per employment standards.
