Jewish Family Service is seeking an MSW, Psychologist or provisional Psychologist, registered in their respective professional college, for a therapist position of approximately 10-15 hours per week, under an annual contract.  The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ previous experience.  Therapists are required to work in office, with the option to partially work from home, upon agreement with the Clinical Supervisor. We meet with clients in-person, by video and by phone.

As the recipient of United Way funding, JFSE has a mandate to work with clients across a broad range of presenting issues and thus we offer a sliding fee scale that makes our services more readily available to those without means or private insurance. People contact JFSE for issues related to anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, trauma, violence, abuse, sexuality concerns, PTSD, relationships difficulties and other sorts of life challenges.

Our therapists meet with adults, children, couples, and families. We offer special support for people who are grieving the loss of loved ones, and a background in grief and loss is a plus.  A willingness to learn about the therapeutic issues involved with grief and loss would be expected. Experience running groups would be an added plus.

We are looking for someone who is compassionate and kind, with good organizational and technical skills, who is able to start fairly soon.

Our hourly rate for contract therapists is $60.00/hr.
