Each year JFS awards a Sigma Alpha Mu scholarship from an endowment fund it administers that was set up to support Jewish Students study at the University of Alberta. This year’s recipient is Carmel Erlich, who recently graduated High school with honors and is a first year University of Alberta student entering the Animal Health program with a goal to pursue Veterinary medicine. She is active in the community as a volunteer for the Anne Frank Exhibition, Community Helpers, Sunday school, Hillel and a member of the executive team for the school culture festival. We wish Carmel success in her studies and career goals.
