RE: Casino Volunteers for June 20 and 21, 2021 at the Starlight Casino Edmonton
Thank you for your support and volunteer time, ensuring that Jewish Family Services could complete another fund raising event through the Alberta Gaming Charitable Model with AGLC. We rely on these funds to provide services and support to our Community in the Edmonton region. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, with barriers and challenges facing all members of the community, has been very stressful and has lead to more people reaching out for assistance. This includes navigating social support systems, financial support and social, mental and emotional supports.
All of us at JFSE appreciate the contributions from the community. Your support of time, donations, spreading the word about us, and the client referrals that come from concerned friends and family, help us fulfill on our mission of helping people suffering adversity and in need of assistance.
While we are not yet opening our doors to walk in traffic, we are planning for re-opening, and continue to serve anyone in need via appointment and phone or online services. We are fully open for business, as we have all through the pandemic, albeit with adaptations to ensure personal safety and reduce risk of covid exposure. We are accepting referrals and appointments, our intake and service load is increasing with increased community need, and we are proud to be serving our community from a Jewish values based position.
