We'll be gathering on Sunday, June 29th, from 10 AM to 12 PM. This is a safe and inclusive space for anyone who feels connected to the Jewish community, no matter their background or journey.

2025 SIGMA ALPHA MU SCHOLARSHIP
Sigma Alpha Mu was a fraternity active on the University of Alberta Campus since the 1940’s. After it disbanded in 1972, its Board of Trustees decided to use the earnings from investment of the assets to support Jewish university students. Jewish Family Services was then entrusted with the administration of the fund to support students in the form of scholarships.
AWARD: $1,000
DEADLINE: May 30, 2025
ELIGIBILITY: Jewish students attending a full-time (min. 3 full courses or equivalent) degree program at a post-secondary institution in Edmonton. Consideration is given to financial need and potential for academic success.

Voices of Resilience Event: March 6th, 2025
JFSE is proud to support an upcoming online event, "Voices of Resilience: Supporting NSRI Women in the Face of Gender-Based Violence," which will take place on March 6 at 1:00 pm via Zoom. Join us for a discussion focused on supporting immigrant, refugee, and nonstatus (NSRI) women in Canada who experience gender-based violence. We will watch a video play titled "The Warriors," featuring NSRI women from across the country who share their personal experiences through performance art.
